Your logic was right.
The problem was with the statement given in the question.
By the way, Sanction can be both negative and positive. (not related to this topic). and that makes it difficult for me to get the precise meaning of any staement in the first look.
Though I am thinking in the wrong direction all the time so I woulf simply go by your interpretation of the question.
You got a great profile name too 🙂
Actually I meant that Gandhiji was against separate electorates because such a provision would reinforce the claim that Harijans are different from caste Hindus which would in a way sanction untouchability. Simply put Gandhiji refused to accept separate electorates because he thought it would be accepting the inferior status of harijans thus sanctioning untouchability. That was the lpgic I used to arrive to the answer.
I think it is so because of lack of diversity of different customs or groups… Not sure still

It’s given at the end.
Na.. Its HInduisim ‘only’.
The issue of separate electorates was a political one and not social. Had it suggested to be ignored, the very authority of Gandhiji would have suffered hugely. Besides, It would have reduced the scope for agitation.
By the way, Separate Electorates for Harijans as a policy was protested by Gandhiji in yerwada jail of pune leading to a pact with Dr. Ambedkar and thus It cannot be separate electorates sanctioning untouchability.
Hope I could answer it satisfactorily.
And you chose a great profile name. 🙂

Dont know why.. but special provision had been alotted in aricle 371A which might have been thought to be enough… and which also grants a high level of autonomy..
I think it should be separate electorates sanction untouchability, they should be ignored?
I have one doubt pls clarify it…
Why Nagaland is not included in 6 schedule of the Constitution inspite of being a tribal majority state??
Pls tell

Qs. no. 3 and 6 have been updated. Thanks for notifying the error.
actually it was gandhiji was against untouchability so he said if hinduism has given santion to untouchability which is a sin , it should be ignored. then he clarified that hindusim dont preach untouchability ( no sanction – official permission to do it ) against any human. shudras are doing their work and thats good for them . but this doesnt mean they become unequal according to geeta. 🙂 @disqus_pPuMkbdzq0:disqus
That’s right.
I tried hard to connect the third point with KUKA movement but didn’t work .
What does this line mean — Gandhi advocated that if sanction untouchability, they should be ignored.??

If Q6. is about Akali movement , then answer should be 2nd option…..Liberating the Sikh gurudwaras from the control of corrupt Mahants.
Other options are not suitable for any Sikh movement.

Question 3 & 6 need review
I had the same doubt.
true
6th question is not clear.
Does it ask for a particular Sikh movement? Because there were various sikh movements.
“To make available modern western education to the Sikhs”
This objective belonged to Singh Sabha.
Now if the questions consider all the sikh movements then answer becomes (d)
As Gurudwara Reform Movement was to liberate the Sikh gurudwaras from the control of corrupt Mahants.
The Akalis also participated in the Indian independence movement against the British Government, and supported the non-cooperation movement.
ya..sikh reform is nirankari/namdhari and also gurudwara movement no?..western education i had no idea..
