What you think does not matter bro. What is given in the book matters. Object = objective. 1st statement is very much right.

Logical Reasoning:
1. Before 1900s, nobody cared about general population. The English educated Indian upper class only cared about introducing British style polity like Electorate of Landholders and demand of treating Indian Landholders at par with British landholders. So option 1 is eliminated.
2. East India Association is confusing with Indian Association the most prominent pre-INC political organization, none of which is by Sisir. Though Indian Association was founded in Calcutta by Sir Surrender-Not Banerjee. So this is tough guess between option b and option d unless you remember Naoroji’s contributions. Still, 50/50 chance at lottery.
3. Indian Councils act was the first mention of indirect electorate. However, the idea of Indians voting against the Viceroy’s budget was unthinkable before the Nationalists became newspaper headlines after 1906. So option 3 is eliminated.
4. Dayanand = Arya Samaj = Revivalist conservative movement. So logically impossible for it to be universalist. Opposing the Purana clause is hard to deduce though, but the options make it easy. Clause 2 eliminated.
5. This is almost impossible to remember. Better leave stuff like these.

Also I dont think BBIS was about the condition of the people. Parties before 20th century didnot care about mass appeal, even in Britain mostly landowners and aristocrats had voting rights. So colonial mindset developed and all these parties were demanding same rights of Indian Landholders as British Landholders. Before Naoroji’s economic critique of Colonialism, most of them didnt care about the general population.
Looks like a paper of logical reasoning instead of History. Made 4/5. 😀

I think it is difficult task to manage getting all questions incorrect 🙂 . Hahaha, mistakes make the man perfect. It’s time we learn from our mistakes
hello forum ias..
will you please say me from which source we have to prepare all these unknown bits from standard books
Please ask the questions only relevant to prelims..I don’t think so(though I might be wrong) that these type of questions being asked in modern his..by asking hard questions for show off only demoralize us..

This is not Daily Quiz. This is Daily Quiz 2.0 🙂
Daily Quiz will cover all the subjects in a week, while Daily Quiz 2.0 will only cover a ‘particular topic’ in a week.

Moment of truth!! need to work more.
@Forum, thank you for the questions.
I disagree, for me ‘object’ and ‘objective’ are the same things. Moreover, in no source the term ‘objective’ is given explicitly. Just checked bipin chandra too, the options which have been given correct above were the ‘petitions’ sent by the association.
no ques is correct read the explanation once again, you will understand 🙂
this is what written in the Explanation-
The Bengal British India Society was founded in 1843 with the object of the collection and dissemination of information relating to the actual condition of the people of British India
But the ques asks the objectives of British Indian Association
Additional points-
In the wake of the upcoming charter act (of 1853) in 1852, this organization sent a delegation to England, pleading for separation of Judiciary with executive, higher posts and pays for Indians, abolition of salt duty and inclusion of Indians in the legislative councils. But all expectations were negated by the Charter Act of 1853.
Waah! Mera fir 3/5 Ho jayega score 😛
