SOLUTIONS TO DAILY CSAT MISSION # 89 & 90

1. (B) 2. (C) 3. (D) 4. (A) 5. (D) 6. (D) 7. (A) 8. (A) 9. (B) 10. (B)

Explanations
1. Democracy is mentioned in the passage, but not suggested as one of the measures by either side.

2. Assistance will make the people stop looking for their own solutions.

4. Statement 1 is obvious. From the line “The Police and law enforcement agencies were hopelessly compromised; their partisan behaviour and, sometimes, direct collusion with the mob are well known”, statement 3 is also inferred.

8. Statements 2 and 3 are not provided as arguments by vegetarians. Only statement 1.

9. Statements 1 and 2 both imply the same thing, really. Statement 3 has no relation to this.

  5. About yesterday’s set –

I think questions 5 & 6 are marked wrongly. They contain the point that the state was an perpetrator. The following line shows that it wasn’t –
    active
“And the violence was decentralized enough for the state to be primarily a spectator.”

State and state machinery can’t be equated.

For 9, expense has clearly been mentioned as a criteria.
