EL NINO modiki main it’s normal conditions in peruvian coast, and hence atlantic ocean hurricane formation will not be affected, whereas India and Indonesia suffers from drought.
    Thanks

May I logic explain this correctly.

The reason for their survival depends less on the soil and more on the kind of leaves that they possess.
We all know that forests in Taiga region and Cone type leaves which evaporate very less especially in winters when they have snow on them and are pointed downwards for shedding this snow.

This falling snow accumulates and the snow which is just above the soil gets melted due to the pressure exerted by the snow above it — providing water to the soil.

LESS EVAPORATION + WATER TO SOIL + VEGETATION WITH LITTLE NEED OF SUNLIGHT (Coniferous trees) == This makes (c) to be correct. 🙂

Keep up the good work 🙂

I got it. And yes, it should be the actual reason too. Logic should have got this question correct.
But, can we say permafrost system as secondary reason for good forest growth. ( just asking )

Higher temperature means heating of tibetan plateau – which will obviously create low pressure over them.

    Sure!

  26. Murinder Nodi Avatar

Would higher temperature over Tibetan plateau not obstruct the monsoon wind, I mean the snow would melt leading to high pressure.

Hurricanes is a type of cyclone. warm water current creates low pressure -> leads to cyclone formation.
now due to El nino, cold water current is shifted to central pacific (or we can say eastern Australia )-> lower Hurricanes.

  28. In Intensive subsistence agriculture, the farmer cultivates a small plot of land using simple tools and more labour. Climate, with large number of days with sunshine and fertile soils permits growing of more than one crop annually on the same plot.

Usage of high end technology is not required.

I have made some notes from internet..Have read this book nd some coaching material! I have some other queries too can I pm u on forum?

  30. CSE2017 aspirant (ABG) Avatar

I think subsistence is the word here.
Subsistence agriculture is self-sufficiency farming in which the farmers focus on growing enough food to feed themselves and their families. The output is mostly for local requirements with little or no surplus for trade.
Technology upgradation will result in mechanisation and farming will not be focused on extracting profits out of farming, not just feeding the family.

INTENSIVE here signifies the extent of concentration of farming on small tracts of land due to high population density,

    INTENSIVE —> High population density
    SUBSISTENCE —–> Low technology

Taiga has very low evaporation rate due to low temperature and even a small amount of rainfall exceeds the evaporation rate thus giving sufficient water for growth.

    Explain Taiga waala question
I thought that it is permafrost which decreases permeability of soil and hence retain water to support plants even in case of low rainfall.

Ye bhi explain kar do please

But how will it impact hurricanes in Atlantic ocean ?
According to my logic – formation of high pressure zone near Peru – hence will intensify pressure difference between Peruvian coast and Atlantic ocean (where there will be low pressure) and hence increase the frequency of hurricanes.
    Am I right ?

    Okay certain doubts.
For Q5 it is asked “intensive subsistence farming”. Now intensive subsistence farming can only be done if there is good amount of technology otherwise there will only be Subsistence farming .Intensive subsistence farming is done in India and Japan both of which have good amount of technology used in agriculture.
For Q6 why statement 3 is wrong
For Q7 why statement 2 is wrong.
