two questions wrong due to misreading and hurry only
Q 4. Answer must be only 2 .. Here is the snapshot from Laxmikant’s Indian Polity
But 5 has to be D.
The PM is a member of LS or RS therefore he has to be a part of the Parliament!
Should the answer to Q2 be 2 only and not both because Gandhian principles advocate ‘voluntary’ formation of co-operative societies and not ‘compulsory’ formation? Someone please explain!!

Hmm, you are right, I should take care about not becoming too specific.
Common sense says that our honourable PRESIDENT choti si baat ke liye SC aur khud ko kyun disturb karenge.
Bdw, Happy republic day to you !!!!
what transpired between UPSC prelims 2016 and now ? 😛
you used to talk a lot, I remember 😀
hehe, disqus se jane k bd meri zindagi me raunak khatam ho gyi thi. ( no valuable feedbacks and reviews on my answers) tho wapas agayi mai raunak k reviews lene k liye answers p.:):)
Hmm, I should not have over-thought may be. Matters should be of public importance no doubt, but first statement is correct – no need to be so much specific while attempting such questions.
And as you said, SC gives opinions on only few matters – this is also correct – it may or may not give – SC ki marzi !!!
But for pre -constitutional treaties and covenants, SC must give advice.
Thanks nrm007
Happy republic day! 🙂
wapas bhi aa gae ….snowyyy 😀
happy republic day to you 🙂 Keep revising !!!

any fact and law p le sakta hai opinion. phli bat jab koi issue public importance se related nhi hoga tho wo choti se baat pe advice lega bhi q. isliye first statement quote hoti hai which u have mentioned. or preconstitutional issues se related advices. first is not binding for sc to give advice but in second it is mandatory.

Isn’t first question’s first statement incomplete – question of law or fact of public importance which has arisen or which is likely to arise. If the matter is of not public importance, can then also President seek the opinion of the Supreme court ?
