Hello @cheetah. I’ve given my 2nd mains. But got pretty low in Geo optional. I spent much time preparing P1. got 65 in 2013 and 43 now. to understand where iam going wrong could you please upload an answer of urs[test series wala]. I used to get 80-90s in ALS test series last time. I havent attempted any of Geo thought questions nor i used Geo thought and Theorist names in the answers. As a guesstimate would that have costed my marks? As for as diagrams i’ve included plenty. Thanks

case studies are mere examples explained in detail.
like when we talk of biodiversity, dedicate a para on western ghats, its flora and fauna
in answers of tribal areas, include a case study of bastar region, its difficulties.
in answers of hill area problems, take clues from north east.
again it depends on demand of question. no “one fits all” strategy.

Congrats for your success! You have one of the best marks in geography optional this year. How many questions did you attempt in paper 1? Any tips or source on handling questions like denudation chronology; zonal point of view question , …I couldn’t write satisfactory answer for them..
    Thanks

I have heard a lot of toppers say that they include case studies in their GS answers. What does it actually mean?

PS Sorry if my ques sounds non-sensical

Sources I have mentioned in above interview.
Regarding strategy, practice a lot of question. Innovate diagrams and maps.
Try to include geographical angle in your answers like examples, case studies.
Write to the point, dont bluff around.
Most important is time management, try to complete the paper in the given time frame.
Rely on books, not on coaching stuff. Prepare short notes for important topics that u think are exam-worthy.
Prepare a hand book of diagram and maps
