Smt. Rajni Razdan, Former Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Government of India took the oath of office and secrecy as Member, Union Service Public Commission. An Indian Administrative Service Officer of Haryana Cadre of 1973 Batch, Smt. Rajni Razdan has held several important assignments both in the State of Haryana and at the Centre.
From 1973-1976 worked as Sub-Divisional Magistrate & Additional Collector (Rural Development Programmes) Haryana.
From 1979-85 worked as Director, Lotteries and Treasury & Accounts, Haryana.
Worked as MD, Haryana Handloom Corporation from 1985 -87. In 1987-89 joined as Director, Higher Education, Haryana.
From 1991- 92 worked as Director in the Steel Ministry and handled the modernization of SAIL Steel Plants of Durgapur and Rourkela.
Worked as Joint Secretary, Programme implementation, from 1992 and looked after the industrial infrastructure sector.
From 1996-1999 posted as Secretary, Cooperation and Public Health.
From 1999-2003 served in the Central Government as Joint Secretary, Edible Oils in the Food Ministry.
Also did Administration, edible oils, Storage, Commodities Exchange and a save grain campaign. Got the Official Language 1st and 2nd prize for the Department of Food and Public Distribution for 2 years in 2000-01 and 2002.
In December 2003 was appointed in Haryana as Principal Secretary, Housing and also Chairman, Haryana Housing Board.
In May 2006, came to Government of India as Additional Secretary (Pensions) in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
Served as Secretary, Pension and Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances during 2007-2009.
Appointed Member, Union Public Service Commission in April, 2010.
Her assignments at the Centre included Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.
In her home cadre, her assignments included Secretary, Cooperation and Public Health, Principal Secretary, Housing and Chairman, Haryana Housing Board.
She is also author of a number of publications.
