The quote by Henry David Thoreau , tells us not to just focus on the object but to perceive it. In our lives we often come across situations which can be positive or negative based on how we see it. Here we don’t just look at life rather we perceive it.This quote does not hold water only when we talk about life. It also stands good for anything we look around us. Right from flowers in our garden to the most abstract painting we tend to look at it first but admire it when we see it. Seeing helps us to see across things.Things that may look very simple outside, but it may be the most beautiful thing that one can come across.Looking is for the eyes , while seeing is for the mind.
The most wonderful example for this quote would be the painting of “Mona lisa”. We look at her just like a painting we see her smile . But she is the reflection of ones thoughts of how I perceive it.To conclude it not what we look but what we see in it.
