Key Points : CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM. 2017 Notification

Some Key Points from the Notification:

• Candidates are required to apply Online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in
• The online Applications can be filled up to 17th March, 2017 till 6:00 PM. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
• Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the Services and Posts  will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on 18th June, 2017.
• The number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be approximately 980 which include 27 vacancies reserved for P.H. Category.
• Allotment of Centres will be on the “first-apply-first allot” basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen
• The candidates should note that no request for change of centre will be entertained.
• The Main Examination is likely to be held in October, 2017.
• A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2017 i.e., he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1985 and not later than 1st August, 1996.
• Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/-
• The Online applications (Part I and II) can be filled from 22nd February, 2017 to 17th March, 2017 till 18:00 Hrs.
• Candidates are strongly advised to apply online well in time without waiting for the last date for submission of Online Applications.
