Democracy is a form of governance, where representatives are directly or indirectly elected by the public. Democracy has many positive and negative sides. Sometimes it seems like a tyranny of government. following examples can explain it better :
1- Demonetization :- A sudden decision taken by govt. without considering the views of general masses, that were going to be affected mostly with this decision.
2- Cashless transaction :- Govt. compelling poor, illiterate public to do online transaction without providing proper digital knowledge and ensuring security measures.
3- Defense deal :- democracy provide utmost power to govt. Many defense deals are pending because of lackadaisical attitude of defense minister and poor personals are compel to operate with old and traditional weapons. sometime they loss their valuable life because of old weapons.
4- Zero import duty on wheat :- This decision would highly affect the farmers. But against this decision farmers have no say. they are compel to bear losses.

    Benefits of Democracy :-

1- The govt. voice considers as public voice.
2- Local representatives chosen by this process have better understanding about local issues.
3- compels the leaders to do for the welfare of public otherwise they will loss next election.

India has world’s maximum diverse population – on basis of caste, religion, races etc. So democratic process suits here. Our constitution framers had adopted this democratic process after analyzing the national situation and considering other constitutions. therefore, it should be our duty to respect our constitution and its all forms.

  19. is the issue solved? can i post today@forumias
