    Hi Aayush
You need to have a good atlas (Preferably Frank, or Oxford) and NCERT books from 6th to 12th of Geography. Apart from this, u do not need any other resource as far as this exam is concerned. Now keep the following points in mind while Studying Geography:-
    1. Always keep atlas by your side. Whenever you come across a place or anything, try to spot it in atlas.
    2. While reading NCERT books. First go through all of the NCERTS, one by one.
    3. After the first reading, you will have a good idea of the things, but IAS preparation is all about revision and re-read. So, it is important how you utilise your time while revision.
    4. In the subsequent readings of the NCERTS, do not take 1 book at a time.
    5. Instead take one topic at a time.
    6. For example:- Suppose want to do the chapter of crops. Suppose, it has been covered in 7th class geography, and 9th geography.
So, first u should do the crop chapter from 7th class book, and then from 9th class book. Of course, keep the atlas by your side.
    7. Then, following the same approach, do the chapter of soil, vegetation, and so on.
    8. And u dont need to be good for making maps.
    9. Just “stare” at some portion of the atlas. And ask yourself, what kind of question can be asked from this region.
For example, when u are looking at Capsian sea, try to look at the countries bordering it. And so on.
    10. Try to find the links between political and physical maps.

    I hope, this helps.

    Thanks.
