    Ans 2–
Most of the naval powers of the world exhibit naval power projection in two ways either by way of sea control or sea denial.
    Sea control–
-it is a type of naval power projection through expanded presence of naval apparatus such as warships , submarines, aircraft carrier etc in high seas.
-aircraft carrier plays prominent role in power projection through sea control. US navy is the best example for sea control.
-adherence to freedom of navigation, unclos, and other related conventions becomes significant here.US assertion of freedom of navigation in south china sea is one example.

    Sea denial–
    – is a type of naval power projection where country due to lack of required resources and otherswise prefers defencive method of deniying access to naval warships of other countries in seas around it than controlling it.
    – china in relation to south china sea is best example. Submarines, destroyers , carriers and others plays significant part.

India’s naval power in present geopolitical scenario, with aggressive and assertive chinese expansion in indian ocean and increased cooperation of china with pakistan navy gains importance. Recently india along with other nations had paid greater emphasis on adherence to freedom of navigation according to unclos, particularly in case of south china seas,as most of our trade pass through it.
Also india having traditionally maintained its required presence in indian ocean to protect its 7500 km coastal borders, anti piracy operations, free trade and to provide overall security to indian ocean littorals countries to maintain it a ocean of peace.
Recent induction of vikrant , kolkatta class destroyer, kilo class submarines etc is the right step forward to enable india to perform its responsibility in indian ocean efficiently.

My frst answer pls comment if any advice n how to improve further
