Hi, QA 7 picked from a study report (of FSI) which has least significance when we have biannual, authentic and revered India State of Forest Report (ISFR) to measure the progress in country forest cover. So in order to avoid unwanted confusion just to avoid study report which Forumias has given link in solution page. And read latest 2015 ISFR which is potential area for forthcoming prelims. Just search for aforesaid report u will get same data whether it PIB or BS…

i think the answer for 1st question should be B as in south India the annual temperature range is very less. moreover the temperature varies between 15-35 degree Celsius in lower gangetic plain which is in Bengal and Assam parts.

a d a b d a 7(c) there may be some poorly framed question even in upsc. We can opt to leave or attempt. Without re-reading the state of forest report going for a guess with option c for 7th ques.

QA 7 is poorly framed: As per India State of Forest Report (ISFR) 2015, Maximum forest cover is gained by TN, followed by Kerala and J&K. There is no need to get into DEEP in this aspects. Further the question is silent on year of report. 2013 or 2015.
