CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

I have seen some of their videos. Introduce any course in the market and for some people it will work, for rest just a waste. Immadi Pruthvi Tej was student of this course and cleared in one go, rank 24.

It's like a foundation course on fast pace, if you don't have any notes its good for limiting your resource base for static. These lecture pattern is like Polity 20 lec, Economy 20 lec, Modern 12, Culture 6, Ancience Medieval 1-1 lec. Geography, Env S&T in 20 lec.

Now see yourself in foundation polity ends in 30-32 lec with so called mains perspective and governance included.

now we have many similar programs in market too, like Shubhra Ranjan 1 week per subject revision without notes dictation (they provide printed, just scribble over them), IAS BABA, Forum IAS etc etc.

Can someone suggest some hacks to maintain concentration for long hours? The more I miss deadlines, the more depressed I get and concentrating on studies becomes increasingly difficult.

@indianhuman I don't think there are any hacks. It's a skill you have to practice. Start small. Like start by concentrating on your studies for like 20 minute sessions then once you get used to that, increase it to like around 30 minutes and so on. Understand and accept that it is going to take some time before you start to see the effects and be able to concentrate intensely for long periods of time. It is NOT going to happen overnight or even after a week, but keep at it and you will start to see a difference eventually. Also you can try reading the book 'Deep Work' by Cal Newport. I think it's great, especially in combination with 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear.

@indianhumanTry meditation. You may find it easy to sit for long and make your study hours more effective if you meditate daily. You will get more amount of work done in the same time. Start from 15-20 minutes daily, and if you are able to sit then gradually extend to 40-50 minutes.
By meditation, it is meant that you should sit in any comfortable position (crossed leg with back straight) and close your eyes. Then, maintain concentration on your breath leaving and entering your nostrils and observe the corresponding sensation in your nose. Observing the rhythmic expansion and contraction of the belly is another alternative. Do not get lost in any kind of thoughts and maintain contact with the breath, remaining in the present. That is all there is to it. Nothing more than that. For a more detailed procedure (if you find enough time), refer:
Another less spoken and often controversial topic is celibacy. Avoid all nefarious activities such as seeing/watching movies/songs/random videos that are even remotely obsene. Maintain your bodily integrity by avoiding immoral acts. It affects your concentration a lot. Also, you will also be able to meditate only if you follow this basic rule.

Hello guys,

I need a study partner for Mains (and Pre) 2021.

Purpose: To keep up mutual accountability and keep up spirits during lows.

I have cleared this 2020 Prelims but am skipping it for some unavoidable reasons, mostly job related. I am working as Dy Collector right now.

Someone with PSIR as Optional (and preferably with Mains experience), who is seeking a long distance study partner and is absolutely dead serious about 2021 attempt, do ping me at

crazymonk1994@gmail.com

Thanks.
