CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine
Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.
Moderator Update: This thread has crossed 1 million views and has thousands of comments slowing down the website. We are closing this and moving to the next thread
Made considerable progress today. Finished Modern History, will come back to it once more before prelims. Haven't be able to do PYQs, will have to figure a way out. Anyway, tomorrow is going to be kind of an exam simulation day.

- CSAT Mock
- Finish Polity CA
- Finish Polity PYQs
- Mapping - Flora & Fauna
Did everything except mapping. I mapped some other places in news instead. Was just figuring out what needs to be done in the last days and it seems like there's so many things still left to be done. The silver lining of the day was that I redeemed my average performance in the forum open mock before this one. Fingers crossed!

Finished S&T PYQs but couldn't finish the other two targets. The concentration just wasn't there. Of course, I'm going to blame it all on the 92.51. Never a dull day in the prep it seems!

At that stage in the preparation phase where I am constantly juggling between two emotions:
1. Bahut kuch bacha hai padhne ko.. Yeh bhi yaad nahi vo bhi yaad nahi (Too much left to study.. Can't remember this.. can't remember that)
2. Ab padh lia jitna padhna tha.. Ab bas jaldi se yeh 10-11 din nikal jaayein .. (I have studied as much as I had to.. I just want these 10-11 days to be over as quickly as possible).
Meanwhile, yesterday was such a waste.. Especially after the cut offs were released.
Personally it's getting Very difficult for me to be at peak productivity lately.. Not that I'm distracted or wasting time anywhere... But somehow, emotions, fear, sometimes confidence etc takes over me and sabotages my routine..
Let's see how theses last few days will go.
Yday - couldn't do thr CA part.
Today -
1. Make a revision plan of things that are prone to forgetting
2. Mapping
3. Mocks
4. Pyq
#Tip - do not open your phone - check answer key, prelims difficulty status or talk to any1 between GS and CSAT paper.
Some Institutes in their overenthusiasm put out stuff in 5-10 min post prelims paper.

We Both Had already Accepted that we have failed.Atleast We were made to accept by UPSC. So Lets Not Entertaint such questions. Done for the day. Did economy + ancient history today. I couldn't complete current affairs though.
When the Mains marksheet came, it was a shock. I had genuinely thought I would be close to the cutoff (maybe 10-20 marks off it). Turns out I'm nowhere near good enough at the moment to even dream of getting an interview call.
There must be fundamental mistakes I'm making (either in strategy or execution), which I have to figure out. I'll do that later though. First prelims needs to be dealt with.
This does fill me with a sort of anger/motivation. I want to do better, much better. And I'm ready to work as hard as it takes.
First, prelims. Gotta make the most of the remaining 12 days. And then figure out what to do.

Hi AT. I hope you're good. No time for some long motivational talk, but surely one thing, focus on prelims abhi. You know you can ace it like your earlier attempts. And as mains remains the block between the holy pdf and you, see that after prelims, once you know where you lack you can crack for sure.
And you're clocking some good number of hours , we all see that. This will bear fruit for sure. All the best and use this motivation/anger for your good. :)
