How do u people differentiate between analyze critically analyze and discuss
Please help. I am very confused . I wrote a test and did whatever I could understand from the questions. But after seeing the model answers , I found I interpreted the meaning of directives wrong . Is there any fixed rule ?
Analyse- bring out the causes, impacts of the issue, inter relationship of dimensions.
Critically analyse - Bring out the causes, imalcts and interrelationship, focussing more on the criticism part. But this criticism should be moderately worded & constructive.
Discuss - bring out multiple dimensions of the issue. Just like when we discuss any topic various opinions are expressed.

Tbh I really don't see any point in their distinction. I remember Shabbir sir did a whole video on these terminologies. You can check that but I personally feel this is an overhyped element of answer writing. Like critically analyse and analyse are just the same thing. Critically means rational judgement, not the emphasis on the negative aspects. Whole coaching industry tends to go overboard with many simplistic things ig.
I just go by my basic rule with 4 pillars. Significance, issues, solution/way forward and govt initiatives. I mention them according to the need of the question by its language and not limited to analyse,discuss keywords.

Previous year papers and some generic intro, conclusion, govt. initiatives in pollution control, afforestation, river cleaning etc.
Also, will give a cursory look at Vision 365 Index.
Mains365 content could’ve easily been 50 pages or less for every subject, but how can that be acceptable to Vision - kahani kaise na likhein :/

I crib in solace now a days. Coz forum scares me. Everyone seems to have covered so much more. And in person nobody lends me an ear to hear my complaints. Sed life.

while i'm on my second round of revisions, i don't know what it is...things still don't seem that consolidated in my head. i wrap up nearly all my tests this week except for one ethics and essay test. will just revise to the max then on and pray :P
