CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Moderator Update: This thread has crossed 1 million views and has thousands of comments slowing down the website. We are closing this and moving to the next thread

Hello friends, been super sporadic here since the prelims result but wanted to come and wish everyone one last time before the blood bath that is mains begins. Its going to be tough, and scary (both due to the question paper as well as covid), but all we can do is pray for ourselves and our loved ones and try in earnest.
At the end of this exam, I hope we all emerge victorious and most importantly, satisfied that we’ve done our best that we could. Now is not the time for regrets, now is the time for action.
All the best my peeps, who’ve stuck it out on this journey in whatever capacity is possible for you.

This is for this query that got lost somewhere

"do people skip cse mains for IFoS? If yes, what is their success rate?

Note- I got severe covid 2 weeks ago, still recovering. Lots of time wasted. I am not sure if I will be able to give my best with no study or revision in last 2 weeks."

@Pureheart  Do not skip the Mains examination even if you are absolutely sure that your preparation is not upto what you expected. Writing the Mains in real will once for all have at least one bnefit, and that is ,  you will have an exact idea of what the demand of the mains exam is. Missing the Mains, means you are no more experienced than a candidate who has not cleared Prelims.

Civils is an exam where experience matters. Your perception of the exam changes or I should say / evolves with time.

And I say this with experience.

Depends.. some get things done really quick but some take time. Assume you have 15 minutes less

Hey guys! All the very best for tomorrow. Stay safe too, and have a good time writing the paper. I'm rooting so hard for all of you! And if you're having last minute panic, just hang in there and get through the day somehow. Tomorrow will feel much better. ❤

Quick one, should we avoid putting sub heading in essays?
4.5k views
@Hitking its always better to put 2-3 sub-headings for the body. easy to comprehend for the reader. structured flow!
