Bhai even I have taken a unpopular optional, with no background or coaching. I believe conviction is the key in this exam. Everything else is secondary.

Is it just me or there seems to be a bias in literature optionals?
It is majorly due to low base of language students. Generally, there is high chances of one student getting selected among 6-7 as scaling will favour the best among them a lot.

Literature Optionals may have a higher selection ratio, but marks given even to the topper are not very high. Except for Hindi, Kannada and occasionally English Literature - I have not come across any other literature paper consistently giving the topper 300+ year after year.
