@SergioRamos I hardly think he is trying to speak about that sort of unified identity, it's abundantly obvious that Hinduism is diverse and it includes a plethora of gods and ways of worshiping. I believe from what I understand of it, he is trying to not to comment of Hinduism's religious identities, but it's political and social identity, like it oscillates from sense of injury, from victims of history and weakness from unable to respond to its attackers to sense of  superiority and yearning to have a community that would do justice to them as Hindus. Thus the paradox on what is it trying to project.

Any one else has views?

I agree that the prime focus is political and social identity. But isn't religious identity in many ways a precursor to that? A unified religious identity gives way to a unified political/social identity. Take for example Zionist movement. It directly stems out from a sense of injury of the accumulated wrongs in the past. Since all the jews distinctly identify as one, the religious identity turns into a social movement( Zionist Movement) and then into a political entity(Israel).

Another example of the religious identity coalescing into a political/social entity can be the Caliphate in the early 8th-9th century as it was based on the superiority of their beliefs compared to others.

A common underlying factor among all of it is a strong singular religious identity, which singularizes all the various experiences and helps develop a collective identity, ready to move forward politically.

Hey, in my opinion it depends on whether you want to leave preperation for good or not. Because if not, then after completing your MBA (or god forbid, during it) you may want to keep preparing for CSE which will really reduce the value you would want to derive from that degree.
