Meri chalti, toh policy me low carb diet and intermittent fasting bhi add hojaye 😂

Aur mera bass chale, main bolu mid day meal ke under breakfast mei chole bhatoore rakho. :p

Having slogged way past the time limit on the first Mains mock, I make my way to Forum for advice. All that awaits me is Lays.

Lays is the answer.

I was going to write something but i found this online.

https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/american-astronomer-carl-sagan-hindu-cosmology-cosmos-universe/amp/

At the very onset, Carl cited the ancient Hindu sacred text of Rigveda and conceded, “The most sophisticated cosmological ideas came from Asia and particularly from India. Here, there is a tradition of sceptical questioning and unselfconscious humility before the great cosmic mysteries.”

There is also a YouTube video of him saying this.

I'd say Carl Sagan trumps PBM.

There is no trumping. Both are correct. Competition thodi na hai. PBM is talking about one thing, Sagan about other.

Nah. He's just doing it because trashing majority religion is the "intellectual" thing to do. Just like people trash popular movies and praise boring ones like citizen kane on various internet forums to appear to be movie connoisseurs. No matter what anyone says Space Odyssey is not better than Infinity War.

Hinduism is the most chilled out religion of all. Whatever PBM said, Hindus don't actually care about that. He's making it sound like Hindus  have an identity crisis.

While it saddens me to say that more than half the Hindu population rotate thalis with flaming stuff asking for money and other things. There's also the spiritual part, philosophical part, Yoga and Meditation. Upanishads for instance, don't say "this is absolute" unlike others, they encourage you to be free thinkers and use logic. Unfortunately this makes the spiritual texts less palatable to most people. It's a bit difficult to write what they say in just one comment and I'm too tired to write long coherent paragraphs.

Basically Hinduism is not one particular religion but many beliefs and philosophies combined. It's accepting of everyone. You already know that.

I know this isn't something to brag about but I had coke like max twice in my entire life and too out of peer pressure. I just find it disgusting. Mere liye ek Frooti pls.

And hi, fellow faster! We should have an accountability thread for fasting buddies.

Fasters assemble?

I also haven't had Coke since I graduated (2019). Lays on the other hand - can't go more than a few days without having some.

Intermittent fasting is one of my favorite things to do when I feel like I need to change something in my daily routine and a sure shot way to lose some weight. Drives my mother insane though :P

@Esha2020 Look I would be very honest here. At this age, we do not really have the luxury of travelling in multiple boats. You need to really make up your mind whether you want to continue to prepare for UPSC or you want to leave it all together. Believe me when I say that an MBA from top institute would be hectic and would not provide you time to prepare for UPSC simultaneously. Secondly, you would need to work harder than your peers as you would need a good cgpa to ensure that you get good shortlists during final placements (Assuming you have gap (>1 year) due to upsc prep). Getting good shortlists in summers would be impossible with gap (unless you are some 9 pointer from Top notch undergrad college). In case you choose to go for an MBA with education loan then you would probably not be able to attempt CSE again. So weigh in your options and decide. In case you want to go for an MBA, you need to let go of CSE dream completely to do justice to the degree as well as yourself. In case you want to keep preparing for UPSC, you can look for other goverment jobs like State PSC, NABARD, RBI, SEBI etc and keep preparing simultaneously. Choose wisely. All the Best.
