Where are all the poor souls of geo in forum ?
Guys... What do you think about paper 1 ? Would it be like 2017 where people claimed they got much more than expected due to some lenient correction ?
Similarly in paper 2 I found that I had very less case studies and facts to quote on paper. Pls do comment so that we can have a gauge of the way optional is going.

@Scorpion888Paper 1 is bit difficult this time - we may get 10-15 marks more if it is scaled properly
@Ragsyes i did.
Started with brief definition n components of hdi.
Then for paradigm shift wrote about how development perspective changed from growth of income to modern times bassd on development across social, educational and income parameters.
For limitations wrote about overshadowing of poor score in one component by gud score in other to get a high rank.ex of kuwait or some gulf nation where income growth far exceeds other factors
Also pointed the lack of intra family disparities not shown by hdi
And some other points.
Concluded with mpi like index to be more suitable to aid in better targeted planning.

Below is just one more possible way. It may not work for all.
420 is possible in GS papers, 100-105 in 1st 3 GS papers and 115-120 in ethics – because it is the easiest paper which can really fetch good marks if someone done well.
And 135 in Essay that takes score to 555. Now lets see Optionals -
Case 1: UR – Need to score around 260, then total would be 815
Case 2: OBC – 225 is also fine, that takes their score to 780. But if they want IAS, then need to score around 240 in optionals and little more in eassy.
@Ragsgud analysis bhai but looking at the score in ethics in 2017 high scores cannot be ascertained.
