@TETRACYCLINEthere is no need to repent having not read newspapers.i have been reading since October and there's nothing that the monthly magazines don't cover.3 months booklets won't take more than 3 days.i am saying this bcoz I did the mistake of reading 5 -5 newspaper per day to cover the backlog after 2017 mains .neither did I clear that mains nor next year's prelims ,having wasted time on newspapers,should have revised from ready made sources instead!

One newspaper is must , important points must be noted down .....during prelims we can revise self notes......supplementary we can read vision month current affairs. .....reading 5 newspaper is not a good strategy at the same time skipping all the newspaper is also a bad strategy.....bcz reading one newspaper not only helps in prelims but also in mains answers.......we learn structure, flow from articles.

@DKTArre genius brother, he's saying that he completed 5 days newspapers in a single day, not that he read 5 newspapers from different publications.

@DKTam not talking about the significance of reading newspaper,I know these are important.i m talking about a situation when a person who appeared for mains i.e had been a thorough reader of news before but didn't feel like reading anything due to anxiety regarding results, can do now to compensate for it.besides reading the Hindu is the first thing I do daily.and take screenshots(notes).

CSE prep karne wale aur kon kon se paper de sakte hai?

Though I am 22 with 5 attempts left, but yr ye UPSC bada ganda feel kara rahi hai. Post mains to maano punish hi kar rahe hai for giving mains. And backup k naam par mere pas currently kuch nahi hai gaanv jaa kar kheti karne ke alawa..
I am good in quant but speed nahi hai questions solve karne ki.(any books or channels jo yaha help kar sake?)

@abhishek_psomeone recommended me MeritShine on YT for quant, and if you are good in it then you can give bank exams(nabard,rbi,sbi)
Baki exams k lie jyada hai nhi, state PSCs try kr skte(but some states k lie you would have to read state gk), CAPF AC hai, CDS
Higher studies krni hai(mba,humanities) toh TISS de skte hain, around 40% ques is GK and rest(quant, reasoning) is manageable

@The_Powerpuff_girlYou didn't get the point. All that was meant for DKT giving gyaan to you. That's what he do, no previous mains experience, still has loads of strategies to share.

There r plans in pipeline for both the scenarios. Not taking up any time consuming well paying jobs because of that thin chance of hope that always remains.

@John_Titorbro, it can't be released until the verdict because verdict would affect the last man (cut-off) of every category belongs to various communities.

@tmblnd1325194but how? If upsc wins then things would go as usual. If upsc loses then these 8 ews would also be included in the list if they've cleared mains. At most it can affect general cutoff if they've qualified by general standards or ews cutoff. Other categories would remain unaffected i guess.
