@NalandaSome aspirants could not furnish the ews certificate due to certain administrative reason by cut off date of issue, UPSC rejected their candidature as they had failed the general merit, they filed the grievance in CAT which allowed them to give Mains pending final decision by UPSC on the matter of inclusion or exclusion, finally UPSC decided to exclude them from the consideration list of Mains candidates, they again approached the CAT, now the verdict is awaited.

@ShubzGood point, if petitioners win case, those ews guys who failed to furnish the certificate but cleared Gen cut off (and thus wrote Mains as General candidates) will be considered as per ews norms too for determination of Mains cut off.

That would have opened floodgates to say the least.

@KabirTrue, those guys are not at fault, only argument can be that they did not file Petition at that stage and sat over their rights.

Also in the judgement I see a total of 9+21 aspirants,@AzadHindFauzcan you please clarify how many(or all) of them have been given relief?
