Mains 2021: Doubt and strategy discussion thread

I don't know what to say, really. Prelims is over. The discussion as regards the authenticity of answer keys is the most futile discussion. So, I am creating this thread as a necessary and much-needed diversion. Three months to the biggest battle of our professional lives begins now. All comes down to how we heal and grow from now on, and either, we heal or we're gonna crumble. Day by day. 

We're in a toxic environment right now, fellas. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the s**t kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. Mains is the road ahead for everyone of us notwithstanding our current predicament. So, let's continue to fight and not let our guard down.

Has anybody opted for Vision Mains Test Series ? I opted for them last year. The best part about them, was that the questions and the solutions does take care of most of the content needed for GS1 and GS2 papers. I wish to know of other people's experience with Vision Test series, if they have taken it.

Regarding mains test series:

Test series for mains are just for making ourselves comfortable to write for 3 hours, 2 times a day.

The evaluation aren't what we want when we pay huge amounts for them. Probably some students are the evaluators. 

About VISION: Last year the marks offered were pretty vague. The answers where I myself wouldn't give 3, they were giving 5 and where answers were decent they would point out 1/2 more points and award 2.5/3 marks.

The point is those evaluations can't tell us exactly what we need to improve. So better have some group of 3-5 people and evaluate each others'. Can go for full length tests like 2 for each paper. Give those according to exam timings. 

Baaki to apni apni iccha hai.

PS: I don't know how my marks were last year compared to test series (as nobody knows)

@Joeyisthebest  I had joined it for ethics. Wasn't good for me. I couldn't connect with the teacher. He seemed very slow and his examples were at times unethical. It was definitely the worst class I have taken yet. Despite consistent effort I was never able to make through his class of 3 hours.  But this was my experience. He has lots of toppers to back him. There is a fan base that would swear by him.  And he has shown results. I can't take that away. But it did not work for me.

If you are talking about lukmaan I haven't heard his classes but his notes seem to be good. I guess with few teachers we are not able to connect and it isn't anyone's fault.

Don't know about ethics but I had joined GS Score for essay. Issue was with evaluation - Not in time. I got essay evaluated copies after 2 weeks. Some got even later. Similar problem was faced by ethics students also (as Essay+ Ethics is a package). And he scribbles feedback/ suggestions with a pencil ! No proper evaluation parameters like Structure/Content/Flow etc that would help us analyse objectively. Also difficult to arrange a 1on1 with the faculty.
