Notes Making through iPad pencil

I'm really interested in exploring the idea of using iPad pencil for notes making. People having used iPad pencil on Evernote, OneNote please share your experience whether it is recommended based on it's functionality or not.

Primary objective is notes making.

Secondary is reading on iPad.

Thanks

Even I need some suggestions here.

Firstly, which one would be a better app in terms of features, usability, etc for purpose of note making, Notability or Goodnotes?

Secondly, does using Pencil in a silicon case/cover affect productivity? Like adding a silicon case makes the pencil kinda thicker so will it reduce writing speed or would not be okay for longer usage or vice versa?

Kindly help please.

@TheNotorious  1. both apps are Pretty much the same. I’ve been using good notes5 for quite sometime now.
2. I prefer silicon cover as it provides a better grip while writing, it does make the pencil a little thicker but not so much as to affect the writing speed or duration.

been using the pencil with goodnotes and the apple notes app for about 6 months now.

I have the silicone cap only for the pencil tip not the entire pencil but I guess it will answer your problem of speed. I don't think it reduces speed on the contrary I feel the added friction (minimal) gives a better writing experience. I didn't like the smooth and slippery feel on the surface earlier.

@ShinchanNohara Thank you! I think ill go for Goodnotes too.

@PGahlawat  Which Generation pencil or stylus  are you using btw?

You mentioned you don’t like smooth and slippery feel. Don’t you have paper like screen protector on your pad?

And lastly, does these silicon caps really protect pencil tip and don’t obstruct writing in any way whatsoever because i have read in reviews that these caps are just waste of money and nothing else.

@TheNotorious hey. I have the 1st gen pencil.
also I have a normal screen protector not paper like or any other similar friction producing one. not sure if the silicone protects the tip any more than it would last without one but I prefer writing with a cap on. If u have paper like then I guess u can use the pencil without the cap as well. I don't have the full pencil cover and just a cap works fine for me.
