OPTIONAL: Mechanical Engineering (strategy, booklist, problems and soln)

It will be great if serious Mechanical Engineering aspirants can exchange strategies and problems they are having difficulty in solving and study material.

Moreover It will be great if people who had previously cracked this or other exams with mechanical engineering join this group and help us out with the approach and strategy they used.

I am planning to solve the previous year questions first. Then will join the test series of NextIAS.

How have you been preparing?

Are you aiming for 2020 attempt or 2021?

As I am beginning my Prep, I am initially focusing on finishing the syllabus using made easy notes and basic books and along with that solving Prev. year questions as guidance.

After that I plan to solve the IFoS and related ESE questions.

Anyone appearing in 2020 with mechanical? Are you still giving time to mechanical or completely into prelims mode?

Anyone clearing prelims (or likely to clear pre) with mech optional?

If anybody has question papers of any mock tests by NextIAS or Made easy, please share. Even if it’s from last year or before that. TIA
