Hi @Impavid_Girl @Patrick_jane need a bit advise.i am a working professional and also in essential services.I am getting marks in SFG test in range of 65-75,  but in case of current affairs , I am Bit confused. Reason is , I have covered my current affairs till May by dipon sir classes which is not month wise but topic wise. For rest of part he will resume classes at the end of August. Till then if I go as per SFG plan, I will have to read CA from monthly magazines(vision, factly whichever) which is time consuming considering 5 to 6 hrs if reading first time. Also, when CA classes will resume then I will refer to dipon sir notes only. So, what will be use of time if I am devoting in monthly magazine for SFG tests? Memory will be stronger only if we revise the same thing/page over and over and picture of that page gets imprinted on mind. In case of laxmikant, spectrum, sankar ias environment etc. I get to revise same pages, so makes good memory. How can I replicate it in case of current affairs? I feel, I am doing repetitive, overlapping jobs.please guide me.

@giri_jiten6786 hey, i did not join Sir's class so i do not know structure of the content as in how is he covering CA for u people.

As you say, he has covered CA till May topic wise so i would suggest you to go through daily prelims CA quiz from 2-3 websites to consolidate what he has taught a day prior to our SFG test  i think it will consume less time, will not be monotonous plus you will do prelims focussed CA.

For months or topics he is yet to cover i think you can cover CA from a source for SFG and his classes might act as revision. Both ways its going to help u.

And regarding revision thing, i differ from your views. In CA, topic matters more than source. You read the same topic from 10 places, you will hardly gain any value addition. The basic/context would be the same, in every class magazine or notes.

Its just my opinion, it may not be practical given you are a working proffessional too. But atleast this can give you some idea to workout your plan.

I have doubt in Q 11 .. Its no where mentioned that Bru community is considered as PVTG.

Here is list of 75 PVTG from tribal ministry website - https://tribal.nic.in/DivisionsFiles/ListofPVTGs191212.pdf

Only Riangs are considered PVTGs from Tripura.

mujhe ummeed hai ki aap aise hi prelims mein bhi 200 marks lakar UPSC ki beijjati karenge jaise aapne forumias ke question prepration team ko chullu bhar pani mein doob marne ka sanketik mashwara diya hai.

dhanyawaad !!

@iskool open book test chalta hai unka 😅 i request forumias to give such top rankers 100 questions to solve in an hour. 😛 They are out of this world.

Can someone please elaborate the conflict between the two functions of RBI below?

At present, the RBI manages the government debt, including market borrowing. There is a case of clear conflict of interest in this arrangement at one hand RBI decides the key interest rates (i.e., policy rates under monetary policy mechanism) on the other hand it trades in the government bonds (treasury bills, cash management bill and G-Secs) also.

@RB_Rishabh

In short -

Actually as a debt manager of govt. RBI will try to borrow at the lowest possible rate in the market.

& Being the monetary authority it can manipulate the valuation of securities (interest rate and bond value (yield) are inversely proportional)

Hence the conflict.

Reposting the doubt. Need clarification@forumiasacademy @Thinker @Impavid_Girl @Discipline

@Tyrion19 Some types of non deposit taking NBFC are regulated by RBI. This is what i can infer from question no. 9 and 10 of RBI FAQs. Link of FAQs - https://m.rbi.org.in//scripts/FS_FAQs.aspx?Id=92&fn=14

PS - I am not someone from the official forum team, I am just an aspirant trying to help this aspirant community. I would request @ForumIAS-Academy to clarify this issue. :)
