POSHAN Abhiyaan is a flagship programme under Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The mechanism adopted under POSHAN Abhiyaan for the convergence at the National level,there is a National Council which is headed by vice chairman of NITI Aayogand this national council meets every 3 months, then there is anExecutive Committee which is headed by Secretary MWCD,with participation from all the line ministries and Districts by rotation.
Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog Chairs the National Councilcharged with the responsibility of steering the Abhiyaan.
The task of implementation of POSHAN Abhiyaan is to be carried out through theTechnical Support Unit (TSU) established at NITI Aayogwhich, in addition to the Monitoring & Evalution, will also provide research, policy and technical support to the Abhiyaan.
Sir, you said that TSU at NITI implements but here they said MWCD is implementing POSHAN. I have missed something here. Can you pls clarify? Should I mark NITI or MWCD as the right answer? @Disciple @Thinker
