Pooja Khedkar: Tip of the iceberg?

Recently, the Pooja Khedkar fiasco unravelled the major issue of incompetence from DoPT. Over a couple dozen similar cases are out in the public. Unfortunately, the major stakeholder is UPSC and the corresponding aspirants.

Has this affected you on some level? Do you think this will be a paradigm shift in UPSC preparation? Would you share some of the stories yourself as the platform is anon-friendly?

Today is the day when Pooja Khedkar is completely dismissed and barred from giving any future exams. But the last paragraph from the article still haunts me. I am not able to believe that the scam will not STOP. PFA the last paragraph below👇👇👇

The last paragraph is actually and sadly true. Apart from verifying certificate are authentic there's nothing upsc can do. These certificate are authentic on the government records but are obtained by using/furnishing false information. To cross check this information is difficult task for even DoPT take for example candidate belonging to business family can easily get NCL certificate by showing lower income which in reality is not but to verify the income and assets of each and every OBC NCL/EWS candidate is in itself very difficult task. At the max someone's disability can be verified by independent medical board.

@Dead Man thanks for the reply and i agree with you.
Can we say that the luck factor in the examination has actually increased now?
Many cases of EWS certificate are fake, and i am kinda envious as well as i can never get one.
