How was the paper guys ?
@BhallaRobert Yes... Sir.. I have seen the image... it is written ....then what about theseparate electrodeas mentioned in the act itself... it confused me...
It will come between 30 oct-1 nov range
@toooldtodieyoung Sir, may be u are correct... but some events create confusion -- - like in communal award... separate electrode were offered for Dalit (not reservation)... but later after POONA pact .... seats were reserved for them in legislator by eliminating separate electrode... if reservation was implicit then what was the need of reserved seat later in POONA Pact....
@GOT8 separate ‘electrodes’ for women so that they could ‘galvanise’ their position in the legislatures?
@necromancer Right... but reserved ?
@GOT8 The reason why Gandhi wanted reservation instead was because a separate electorate would distance the SC community and it would be lead to more divisions going forward.
I understand that there is a differenceb/n Seperate Electorate & Reservations and it may as well be possible that UPSC might also think the same. I am only saying that my marking a particular answer was more a function of not recollecting the relevant fact rather than critically thinking this through in the exam.
PS - Even i want UPSC's Key to say neither of these, so lets hope for the best.
