Any chance of Copper smelting answer be D (1,2 and 3)?
Any chance of Copper smelting answer be D (1,2 and 3)?
@Aurang_mirasudar how are we supposed to know that it was a mistake in exam? Doesn’t this mistake change the interpretation of the question itself? Not accusing just asking. My answer is wrong anyway
u see the key u will know..questions arent foolproof in psc including upsc....
This article in no way says that co may not be released or so2 is the ‘only’ harmful pollutant that is released.
ILO comes out with health hazard manual every now and then and its categorically mentioned in that carbon monoxide is a cause of concern in copper smelting.
@Aurang_mirasudar how unfair is it if upsc is asking sahi answer mat batao beta ye batao hamare source me kya likha tha !!
Sadly this is a truth. If their source says answer is lets say ‘B’. Its ‘B’ no matter how incorrect is that.
@Aurang_mirasudar sir,can you please share the source of magnetite particle, right to city question....because that will give me a clarity..

getting 96
considering
mitocondria (c) wrong
virus (a) wrong
state (b) wrong
concentration of wealth (d) wrong
sutlej (d) wrong
1935 act (d) wrong
cooker (d) correct
LED (a) correct
EPFO (d) correct
LED is 1,3
Usually 180 deg?.. What about the exceptions???
P.S. - I left this question
@BhallaRobert yeah, upsc generally gives such statements correct, coz saying its "may not" release is an absolute statement and likely wrong, and while saying it "may" release keeps options open, and is likely correct. My only confusion is wrt right to city question, almost all coaching, forum to vision gave it 1 and 2 only with reference to some sources, but an article posted here could say otherwise. Any strong idea about the right answer?
I have little idea about that question because in either case my answer would be wrong
Both options A and B have verbatim lifted from political theorists.
But A is complete statement minus the part ‘states don’t necessarily need to be independent it can also be‘ nearly independent’ + It has omitted the part that ‘Inhabitants render habitual obedience’
B has the portion ‘natural rights and means of sustenance’added on its own it has nowhere been mentioned by Bluntschli. Though he writes that state has to maintain law and order..
ab batao answer kya hoga…

@Hornbill "lethal quantities" is the keyword here i guess! though i have also marked all three but lethal quantities put it in different scenerio!
Bhai ‘ may’ be use hua hai waha.. jab co poisoning is happening it may be lethal or may not be lethal..
U wont get a single text where it says co poisoning from copper smelting plants will absolutely not be lethal.
is separate electrode same as reservation? Just asking
The Government of India Act of 1935 extended the principal of communal representation by providing separate electorates for depressed classes (scheduled castes),womenand labour (workers). Indian Councils Act, 1909 also introduced the system of separate electorates for Muslims.
State wala question me option A and B are verbatim of political theorists.
A is of Garner and B of Bluntschli
Ab i will tell u the problem
In Option A upsc has removed the line where garner says that there has to be ‘ Habitual obedience’ from citizens
in Option B upsc has added on its own ‘ natural rights ‘ and ‘ means of sustenance’
ab dekhlo kaunsa answer hoga

No.option a is given by garner but in option b first part is by blutschli and law and order, natural rights, means of sustenance were definitions of state given by other scholars.its in a nios lesson.
As far as I know law and order was also given by bluntshli. A state has to protect natural rights google me John Locke bol raha hai.. lets see kya hoga
@BhallaRobert 89-91
I feel the same. 89+-1
@BhallaRobert Scores were scaled to 200. So, effectively 92.57 meant 90.7 out of 196. (92.57*196/200). Thus, even if you add 2 marks cutoff would have been more or less the same. Expect it to be in the 90-92 band this year as well.
Ok didnt know this
@BhallaRobert i think anybody scoring 90+ with this key will sail through. 2-3 questikn will be right or wrong in upsc answer key from this one but scores will remain more or less same
Many who got 106 barely sailed through prelims last year.
I was getting 95 from vision and i got in. My final score was 92.51
@bhuvanamalar1015412 In 2018, in this same forum blog, we were all discussing about the toughness and different pattern in the paper compared to previous years. Many were expecting the cutoff to be 90 and not more than that. But in the end the cutoff was 98. Whatever the toughness or difficultly, somehow people will get 90+ through luck or hardwork. Don’t expect cutoff to get below 90 in this competition era and decreasing amount of vacancies. If one is sure of getting less than 85, he/she should relinquish the hopes of clearing pre
Yes. But same time we saw many candidates who were scoring 110+ Last year or years before that. This time we are hardly seeing that.
Even last year the expected cutoff marks was 95 ( some claimed cutoff eill never fall below 100 and finally it was 92.51.. ) . This was when most of the elimination/tukka tricks were working.
This year even that failed… Hardly so called tukka rules were successful
lets see what happens this year but in no world it will go beyond 95 for me.. most probably 89-90
@BhallaRobert i think anybody scoring 90+ with this key will sail through. 2-3 questikn will be right or wrong in upsc answer key from this one but scores will remain more or less same
Which key?
@kohliwagBrother... can we add 1. copper smelting as (d) and 2. magnetite as (d) in score as per UPSC PYQ trend and answer key? -- or still these are in doubtful stage
Copper smelting is D…
@BhallaRobertsir.. high chances to get in
Hope so
@BhallaRobert I think what upsc intended to check was, whether candidates know that most of copper ores are sulphur based and not carbonate based. And to make sure, that candidates don't take it otherwise and get confused, they consciously mentioned the word lethal amount there. This is exactly what they have done in the indus river question as well.
No offence bro but like really??? 🙂. .. Anyway 1 week to go lets wait and watch.
Last year there was a question on Desher katha .. Whether by desh he meant India or only bengal
The original book was downloaded and translated from Bengali to English…From there it was crystal clear that by Desh the author meant entire India
Still people here were like no desukar is wrong , me bol raha hu na desh matlab only bengal. Dosent matter whatever he wrote in book 😂😂
is saal Copper smelting and State wale q ka bi yehi haal hai
Total constitutional amendments se jyada to matters pending hai almost 4 times
@GOT8 needs to be seen in context of difference between Indian and British system. Only seeing it in isolation is making second statement tricky
Yes only India is the country where this provision is there and the word ‘ Necessarily’ is not there.. then it would have ben wrong..
@Shubz true cutoff will be in the range 92-93 ..they just need 3800 students
They needed 4000 people last year too and that was the time when most of the tukka techniques were working..
still cutoff was 46%.
next charcha: Right to City 1 and 2 confirmed hai ya nahi?
Abi koi aayega wo apna logic and source deke bol dega so and so hi answer hoga…
towhat i have learnt in past few days is khud se decide karlo . Like be honest with urself..
i marked state ka B and tried my best wo sahi ho jaaye 😂😂. But then B is vague and a defn of ideal state… ab one can still be paranoid and say B is answer…
phir unke minus 20 ho jayenge final score me
so all and all find the source and decide urself
@indian1234 Yes, there are 91 more disputed questions. Wait till prelims result, I am sure someone will even claim that Right to Privacy is a part of Article 19 with some random source and proof.😂
To the question of mitochondrial diseases, kindly consider that Q is not talking abut mitochondrial dna but mito disease and mito. diseases can also be caused by nuclear dna which is transmitted by father too. just have a look at this govt. website
Primary Mitochondrial Disorders Overview - GeneReviews® - NCBI Bookshelf (nih.gov) i am surprised no one except vajiram read the question carefully (sorry for giving fresh nightmares to few of my fellow aspirants, but truth must not be hidden lol)
Kya answer diya hai bhaji ram ne?

#20NumberKamHoGaye
Yes. Plus even upsc key can also play spoil sport with 4-5 Q … so all in all u see this heavy increase / decrease
@BhallaRobert which are those 2-3 questions ?
That cant be said. What i mean is ones overall score is going to be very near to vision key.. +- 5.33
@BhallaRobert bhai vision mere kuch sahi kara rha h jo main galat aur ulta bhi ho rha h. But vision galat niklega ye pakka
Mere lowest vision se hi aaye.. 82.67..
lekin jab maine individual research kiye questions pe i found ki jo mujhe bahot time spend karne ke baad pata chala they had already arrived to that point in their key.
to it felt like donkey work
@BhallaRobertChenab or Satluj ? bda confusion hai... Khullar ko man sakte hai kya.. source
Maine chor diya tha ye question. ( Thankfully)
@BhallaRobert at 82.7 how hopeful are you? Bcz I am almost same as well...considering every doubtful wrong which in my case are cooker, epf, co smelter, state definition, federal, 14vs32 and virus culture.
I am from ews category thats y i am hopeful.
Last year i was getting 95 from vision ended up with 92.51 ..
at 82.67 in general i feel 2 (net) incorrect answers atleast have to go ur way..
Cutoff for me would be - 88-89
Speed of light is ALWAYS same ,,, due to this I marked light year as C - लाइट travels in straight line as speed of light is different in different mediums
Don't know what is settled opinion
Maine bi exam me yehi sochke galat kiya ki its different in different mediums. But then light bends also when it travels from one medium to other.. ( Rarer - Denser)
when u are talking about astronomical distances we consider light travels in straight line. Answer will be D (100%)
Led wale q me mujhe laga ki 360 degree hona ek light ka advantage hota hoga
so i considered statement A wrong as govt is promoting led lights, so it has to advantageous right??
Ab bahar aake pata chala ki being 360 deg is not advantageous.. there is not of energy wasted in 360 deg light.
Sothe intention was right but execution was wrongcozlack of knowledge.Ab amazon se 360 deg light dhundke koi fayda nai..
