@Capt_Blackbeard Option b is basically saying that- 2 sets of data should be compared at different periods of time (say after a period of 5 years) to check how much one set (say, the rich set) has become richer and how much the other set (say, the poor set) has become poorer.
Option c is saying- Compare different sets only in one point of time (not comparing after a period of time). While this can show differential incomes, it won’t really show how much the income levels have risen/dropped.
@msquare While reading newspaper, you can practise reading it at an increased pace and time it so you can try to improve over a period of time
