Friends, the great SFG people, how do you manage to reach Forum by 7 AM. I feel, waking up at 6 AM is not so easy for everyone. Please share your genuine hack and experience.
I sleep by 10pm, have my dinner before 8pm. I get a sound sleep of 7 hours so that I don't feel lazy throughout my day.
I wake up at 5am, do some exercise like surya namaskar 20-30 times. By doing some exercise, I am very much energised and then I take a bath, do some meditation for about 10 minutes.
I eat something light, like a fruit.
The main problem is not with waking up, but with the biological cycle. We don't have a habit of waking up early as we never used to do this in college days. But with practice of few days, it will become a part of your routine which eventually you will not like to miss.
I practiced this for 1 month before joining SFG.
I feel when you know that something is important for you to a great degree, no matter how much you hate to wake up, you do get up, at times even before the deadline.
I, personally was never a morning person and right now also I don't sleep very early but when it comes to waking up every day, I think I am doing pretty decent job. I wake up at 5:20 a.m and once you inculcate a habit it eventually becomes a life style.
So, I guess, telling yourself every day that WHY and HOW MUCH IMPORTANT any thing is going to sail anybody through anything.
I dont sleep at all at night. After giving SFG, I come back, have breakfast and then sleep then wake up at 2PM and continue my day.
Dont compare yourself to other losers. Everyone is unique and have their own hurdles. Dont let anyone tell "If you love upsc enough you will do it", bitch if you loved upsc enough, you'd be in LBSNAA, not in SFG.
Very impressive answers above me. Well, I am really a very heavy sleeper. Some people just are heavy sleepers (and now it has been answered why. that's a different discussion)
I set 4 to 5 alarms with a ringtone that makes my brain attentive. I use Ind vs Pak T20 world cup 2007 , final over commentary as my ringtone and every morning I wake up bcz it was really one hell of a intense situation and I so love cricket.
So just do something innovative like that and trust Alarms. They're invented to wake us up mate.
1.i make sure my dinner is light ,before my sleeping time of 11-12 ,i have eaten a light dinner in a gap of 3 hrs,so i hAVE ENOUGH TIME TO DIGEST IT .
2. i try ensuring least bit of screen time 2 hrs before sleeping,its hard to do ,but we get used to it
3. taking a bath with less than room temperature water ,makes sure body and mind is active and ready for tasks
4.set an alarm in the start,if theres the sun window to the east ,its best to get up when the body is fully rested and wakes ny the natural light,
5. i practice kriya and meditation for 1 hr after bath and then start my day
