Kitna bakwaas seh loge sab......last year hi 13090 log pre qualify kiye the..... (abhi google kiya maine).
This year the number has to be higher..... Ye log jo bakwaas idhar udhar post karthe rehthe hai, thoda logically karle....
waise 8000 actually ka kya hi meaning hai.
Mujhe ye bhi nahi lagtha aaj aayenge results......Agar Saxena sir (didnt know who he was till yesterday) has put his name to it and claimed around 12th June ( unlike anonymous updates) , thats probably true.
Thoda tho hum bhi UPSC pe faith rakhle ki itna random stupidity nahi karenge.....ki without proper deliberation jaldi me results de de......
Why have a frenzy about this kind of updates.
@Tejasjv but the comment section, someone asked if the results can come tmrw and he said maybe ab yeh kya.
could be anything
but the csat difficulty must have created difficulty for categories where less ppl appear like ews st sc
OBC UR still enough ppl will clear csat
and they might also consider not letting the gs cutoff fall too much
but all speculation
and we'll never really know
zara socho.....
If the cutoff of SC ST category is falling too low........and UPSC decides ki UR me hum 1:12 le lenge.... par SC me 1:10....ye tho discrimination ho gaya na.....
Decisions like this get stuck in legitimate legal troubles...No?
If the ratio is constant.....last year se zyada log pre qualify honi chahiye.......If they decrease the ratio overall .., then the gap between UR and SC cutoffs will be the same.
My point is simple...Ye 'insider sources' are doing bullshit using all the frenzy of aspirants. Attention tumhara......revenue unka.

Ratio can not be same for UR and category candidates because the cutoff is same for all category students in CSAT.

Ratio will be same
they can't change that ofcourse
all I'm saying is that given the difficulty level of csat and the cutoff might be disproportionally lower for these categories
given the gross no of people in these categories being less and well prepared people affected due to csat
just speculation
The ratio of no of ppl selected for mains per seat in diff categories will ofcourse be same

Ratio is not fixed. UPSC can change these anytime whenever they find it necessary.
A question in our Prelims GS Paper-1, regarding Article 335 mentioned - "reservation policies made under Article 16(4) of the Constitution of India would be limited by Article 335 for maintenance of efficiency of the administration".
This is the reason why CSAT Paper-2 qualifying criteria is same (66 marks) for all. Candidates from reserved category are also required to score more than 66 marks at par with Open category candidates, so that efficiency of administration is not compromised.
Citing efficiency UPSC can also tweak ratios within a reasonable limit. It's their expertise and independence. In notification as well they have not promised a fixed ratio. They've provided a range.
Also it is a coincidence worth noticing that this is the year where people are worried about CSAT Cutoff and this is the same year where they have asked that Efficiency is relevant while recruiting People into Public service.
