CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Moderator Update: This thread has crossed 1 million views and has thousands of comments slowing down the website. We are closing this and moving to the next thread

Did not know where to post.

I have few questions and doubts regarding mains preparation (one silly). People who have written mains please answer if you get time.

1. If comfortable, What was your score in previous mains and what did you learn from it- what mistakes should not be made ?

2. Which pen to use? I had seen a poll here but still could not decide. :(

I had a terrible score for GS last mains… below 280 for the sake of perspective. I honestly dont think I’m any position to guide. I had terrible handwriting, lacked content and presentation… basically paper jala dene ke laayak the. Last year i wrote with V7 and it made my paper look messy. This year, so far I’ve tried the Hauser gel pens and they seem to be working fine

Can someone tell how is the mainstorming test series of shankar ias?

oopsiesaid

@D503 take mgp blindly. The quality of questions is supremely rigorous and they force you to think in multiple ways during the exam mode. Not really simple as compared to some other popular test series. Also, the solutions provided are pretty comprehensive.
No clue about OnlyIAS. Some questions from their samples look decent, but rest no idea.

+1

The quality of questions, model answers and post test discussions in forum are much higher than others i have seen

MGP cohort 10 it is then

Can someone help me out here?@Neyawn @root
I can only check MGP post cohort 10 on the website. Is there no way that I can subscribe to previous cohorts that had around 8 sectional + 8 full tests package?

Good morning guys.. mornings have suddenly become chillier and the bed has become cozier.. took me an hour today to get out of bed.. Don't know how many alarms I snoozed..

Anyway, targets for 29/10/21

  • Ethics topic 6 (1/3)
  • Indian society - try to finish the first iteration
  • Anthro- topic 7.2, 7.3, 9.3
  • CA class

That's all folks !!

  • Did one topic of ethics
  • Did population issues and women issues
  • Not done
  • Not done

After lunch was such a waste. Tried studying but Of course I couldn't. Spent time watching videos on how upsc does cadre allocation .. Insider/outsider bla bla..

Yeh bhi alag hi ball game hai.. Way too complex than csat also..

Anyway, glad to see so many of you guys making into the list.. Ab mazaa aaega ypt pe..

As for now..

Goodnight guys.. !!!

Forum has become such an integral part of my life these days..

Also, MGP handouts mention Red Book for pretty much every subject from Post-independence, IR to economic geography and history.
Can someone share these red books as I could only check polity, agri and ethics on their website?
