Social &amp; Urban Forestry (Nagar Van)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Urban Lungs:<\/strong> Development of <strong>&#8220;Nandan Van&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Nagar Van&#8221;<\/strong> in every municipal corporation to combat the Urban Heat Island effect.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miyawaki Forests:<\/strong> Adoption of the Japanese technique to create dense micro-forests in congested cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, and Ghaziabad.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ayush Van:<\/strong> Plantation of medicinal trees in every district to promote traditional wellness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> <a id=\"t3\"><\/a>Conservation &amp; Eco-Tourism<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Trend:<\/strong> <strong>&#8220;Experience-based Tourism&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Wildlife Integration.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A. Heritage Forestry<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Heritage Trees:<\/strong> Identification and protection of trees older than 100 years as <strong>&#8220;Heritage Trees&#8221;<\/strong> (Virasat Vriksha).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sacred Groves:<\/strong> Revival of &#8220;Dev Vans&#8221; in rural areas to conserve local biodiversity through religious sanctity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> <a id=\"t4\"><\/a>Current Affairs Linkages <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>A. &#8220;Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam&#8221; Campaign (2024)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mass Movement:<\/strong> In July 2024, UP set a world record by planting over <strong>36.50 Crore saplings<\/strong> in a single day under this campaign.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emotional Connect:<\/strong> Citizens were encouraged to plant trees in honor of their mothers, ensuring higher survival rates due to emotional attachment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>B.
