@sjerngal please explain how are you using the Epic magazine esp. for mains. Are you reading it cover to cover, marking the content then and there and revising it month-wise, or extracting info syllabus-wise from each monthly booklet and adding it into your notes.

Hello dudes/dudettes what's everybody's opinion on Epic? I'm kinda sick of looking at Vision and it's full of random facts and redundant stuff now. I like Focus but they're making it too lengthy.

I like it.. Using it for a year now..  Very good for mains also..

*referring to this.

@Aazaad Do go for it .It will give you a renewed sense of optimism and hope. I myself have cleared SSC CGL 2018 and it has helped me immensely in building confidence for 2021 CSE attempt.

Hey Guys, i scored 108 in Vision open test 4 but slid down to 80 in vision test 5. Though tests could be tough or easy but the percentile also dipped from 99+ to 89 something.

the uncertainty is killing, what if the final paper ends up on a low.

Do u score consistently or the fluctuation is wide?

Last I scored 60-80 marks in different open tests(insights, iasbaba, forum, vision abhyas) but in final exam I scored around 120 from different keys.

one of my friend used to get good score in open tests last year but he didn’t qualified prelims.

That’s even more scary, may be luck is a big factor.

Instead of consistency in scores or ranks
,I would suggest you to look for consistency or incremental gains in accuracy rate ,that kind of helps

Definitely luck is big factor since 2018 prelims, but luck only works when u are  confidence about ur preparation and how ur mind works in that 2 hrs

Marks = attempts * accuracy rate

hence similar parameters and directly correlated

No result speculation here?

@Newton981  i understand the correlation

But you had earlier mentioned abt scores or percentile as parameters of evaluation in mocks, I thought accuracy rate improvements would be a better parameter esp in cases of self-evaluation

Last year it was delayed due to a court case. No such roadblock this year. So, I think it'll be on time this year.

About interview, it was okayish. Mostly DAF-based. I don't know what is a good interview :)
