How to overcome the CSAT barrier for a non engineer?

I have a strong feeling that CSAT might have played a spoil sport in my 2019 attempt (scored +100 according to different keys). Even if it didn’t, I would want to clear paper 2 by a comfortable margin.

I am quite poor at mathematics and rely mostly on comprehension. What should be the way forward (please be descriptive in your suggestion)

Thanks

Yes i can relatable to ur present thoughts which are scary,in this situation u want to do the right thing to overcome this fear.

There are two ways 1)one doing by urself 2)Joining a Coaching institute which will be 45 days of manpower.

I believe n suggest u not to make ur fear of csat as a biggest problem.I always discourage option 2 of joining a coaching, bcoz they teach things in very detailed n complicated way which helps in cat rather than Csat.

So coming to option1

(Before that i would tell my experience (i have maths background)

2017-65.57,

2018-105,

2019 -94(provisional))

So how did i cleared csat in 2018 is simple ways.

First i cleared my mind that its qualifing paper needs 66marks (net 27 question),

Brought Arihant Previous year questions book

Made a detailed schedule for each year paper.

Started solving from 2011 in exam environment in 2hrs with bubbling.after 2hrs i started stopwatch from zero n continued the paper solving till i solve the problems which i can(mostly i extended max 1 hr).

After that i check the key, during that i note separately what i marked in 2hrs as crct n incrt

Then extra solved prblms into crct n incrt.

Then i make list of my crcted concepts one side n incrcted another side.

Now i go through the incrcted concepts n read the concept n solve the problem 10 to 20.

(During this entire time i avoided complex prblms like Permutation and Probability concepts(bcoz for me those are complex).)

Wherever i got struck i will watch that concept in youtube(an ocean of free content).

Now before attempting 2014 i make my priority list which i will attempt based on above experience.

Then will start the 2014 paper in my schedule date n will attempt it according to my priority list.

Then repeat same as above.

I did this every year but succeeding year i reduced the detailed study of concepts.

In this way i did n comfortable cleared next csat(though i failed in 3 pres).

Hope it may help u in some way.

thanks bro! PYQs is a good starting point. Any csat specific books?

as a non-engineer i was in the same boat, and pyqs + strict timing helped more than any theory-heavy book. i kept a hit-list of topics i’d skip (p&c, probability) and focused on accuracy in comprehension, basic arithmetic, ratios, and data interpretation. also, random distractions were a real issue for me; during prep i kept getting dragged into junk tabs such ashttps://funkytimeonline.org/,https://crazytimeonline.org/,https://boom-city.org/and it messed with consistency until i blocked them. aim for 35-40 safe attempts with high accuracy and you’ll clear the 66 comfortably.
