Even topper copies don't have such answers(2017 rank 1,2);(2018 rank 1,2).
If u r toppers how come you are still on forum and not cleared the exam with a single digit rank till now.

If they are so true why don't they post their admit card so that we can keep a record of it and then check ur rank when results are out.

@Raja123I was happily preparing for interview but post seeing answers here i was distracted a bit.
See let me tell you a truth:(my experience in 2017):
- GS-1= wrote average answers and did only 14 questions and got 90 marks.
2)GS-2= attempted only 15 and got 89 - GS-3= left worth 80 marks and got 90
4)GS-4= did'nt study anything and got 82.
5)Optional(anthro)- read only 3 braintree books and got 248 after leaving worth 120 marks in both papers.
Agar@sat_009jaise answers expect kartee upsc to mujhe to 30,40 marks milne chahiye the but no I got more than that.
So exam ko haoya banaya hua hai itna mushkil hai nahi exam..

Aise hi mera dimaag kharab kiya gaya tha post pre in my 1st attempt.
Later I realized many of these people commenting hav'nt even given the exam.

At the end of the day EWS will only take 10% of the seats.
So we need to compare and compete with rest 40/30%.
I don't think 10% seats will affest much.
This year 900 seats: For general left 450.Remove EWS we still have close to 400 seats.
Let's compete on those 400.Why worry about something we can't control.

@sat_009I used to worry a lot about quota thing in my jee,cat and several other govt. exams prep.
After reaching colleges and seeing at the results I realized hardworking candidates are always in,quota does'nt affect much.
PS: I am general category non EWS candidate.

Yes each seat matters but we all knew these things before jumping onto thisroad.Soab is baare mein sochne se kya hi fayda.
Yes competition increases each year but we all know we prepare the same way.We don't look at number of seats before studying,kitni bhi seats hon jisko nikalna hai wo nikaal lega.Iss baar nahi to agli baar.
Increasing competition is a myth.
In earlier times also people used to study as much as now.I agree that today more number of resources are available with us but yeh resources sabhi ke paashain.Soplaying field is levelled.
If everyone keeps thinking about increasing competition then its the case everywhere.
Indian cricket team mein kitna competition hota hai.Fir bhi virat kohli iss filed mein kuda aur best batsman bana,dhoni nein job chodi.
Agar dhoni competition dekh ke dar jaata to aaj wo ticket collector hi hota.

@al_biruniI M not sure but I believe this is not the way it works (if u look at ads for recruitment in employment news).1st 50 percent seats r alloted to quotas.remaining are 450.Now from this 450 ews will get 10% I. e 45.

@Minimumwagefor ur info the number of candidates registering for exam have fallen from 9 lakh in 2017 to 5 lakh now with only 3 lakh attempting.
So decrease in number of candidates wrt decrease in number of seats is the same

That's what i was trying to explain here when i put my marksheet of2017.KiI attempted average 14-15 questions and got 90s in all papers.
So u don't need to worry line by line each question in mains.
Jo pucha hai wo bata do,points mein likh do,kuch examples daal do aur kuch questions mein intro aur conclusion likh do.Bas.
It all depends on optional and essay.
Notice: I have'nt done any answer writing either in 2017 or in this attempt.Let's see what happens

Essay: I believe slightly difficult or almost same
Paper1: Slightly difficult(marks may get reduced)
Paper2: Found 2019 very difficult compared to 2017.2017 had lot of current affairs which can be directly vomited from coaching notes(99th amendment,101st amendment).2019 very difficult.I expect marks to fall in this paper by a large extent.
Paper3: Difficult as questions this time were again pinpointed and not current affair based(2017 had tsunami,budget which were very simple to answer)
Paper4: Found case studies to be much difficult compared to 2017
Optional:: Found sociology paper 2 much difficult as compared to last 5 years(had anthro in 2017)
Did'nt appear in 2018

Each person is difficult with different needs,strengths etc.Some focus on essay,some on answer writing.Others don't write even a single answer and end up getting rank 61.
So yes nothing can be generalised

@ChanakyaDon't trust anyone.People tend to write those answers here which they have written well.Nobody can write 20 awesome answers.
There is difference of more than 100 marks between rank 1 and rank 100,so u only need decent answers.Read prajit nair's answers and his blog and u will realize u don't need exceptional answers.
I have also written some expectional answers with examples ranging from peppy paneer pizza to avengers movie to pink and kabir singh movie.
If I post them here u will believe my answers are all awesome,but no they are not.
So chill,if you have completed papers,written decent(not awesome as posted on forum) answers ur name will be in the list among 360 people.
