Mastering Indian Polity for Civil Services & State PCS Examination

ForumIAS Academy
Mastering Indian Polity by ForumIAS Expert Faculties

Dear All,

We have some great news for those planning to write the CSE 2025 examination.

Over the past years, we have been doing programs such as MGP for Mains and Simulator and SFG for the Prelims. The aspirant community often asked why we do not have an integrated pre-cum-mains guidance program.

The truth is that the orientation needed for prelims and mains is a little different. While prelims requires breadth of coverage and knowing everything given in standard books – the mains requires an issue based preparation.

Over the years the boundaries between the prelims and mains have blurred. There is more subjectivity in the Prelims ( hence variation in the answer keys ) and there are some pretty prelims type questions asked.

  • Discuss the role of the Vice-President of India as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. (2022)
  • “The Attorney-General is the chief legal adviser and lawyer of the Government of India.” Discuss. (2019)

Mastering Indian Polity 0th Edition is now available for download. Click Here to download the eBook.

Why should I choose Mastering Indian Polity over Laxmikant ?

We believe that while Laxmikant has remained the Bible for Indian Polity, in the past half a decade, the book has become too bulky and has missed on areas from which the commission asks questions. Also on topics such as liberty, justice etc, Laxmikant has not been able to do justice.

Lastly, this book shares the same source material – D D Basu, which is also the source material for Laxmikant.

Mastering Indian Polity is a pre-cum-mains books for General Studies Paper 2 ( for Mains ) and Indian Polity for Prelims.

There will be a second book Mastering Indian Governance that will take care of Institutions and Bodies for General Studies Paper 2.
