Same Fees, Different Treatment?
Why are online students being denied access to the newly announced Prelims classes despite paying the same fees as offline students?
What is the logic behind this discrimination? Are online students not expected to clear Prelims? If these classes are important for students after what we experienced in this year’s Prelims, why are online students being denied the same opportunity?
Many of us have repeatedly contacted the support team, but instead of resolving the issue, we are simply told that the matter has been “forwarded to higher authorities” or that we should fill out a Google Form.This feels less like an attempt to solve the issue and more like an attempt to pacify students, buy time and eventually make the issue disappear.
Even when students raise their concerns in chats, they are not even acknowledged.
You teach us to fight red-tapism and make administration responsive, yet we are experiencing the same red-tapist approach from the very institution teaching us about it. You teach us the values of equality, fairness and non-discrimination, yet online students are being treated differently despite paying the same fees.
If these values are important enough to teach us for the examination, they should be important enough to practise as well.
What is the actual reason behind restricting these classes for online students? What is the logic behind this different treatment when the fees are the same?
We deserve a clear explanation and an actual resolution—not another assurance that the matter has been forwarded.
@Neyawn Sir, please look into this matter. We have repeatedly tried to reach out and raise our concerns, but unfortunately, our requests have gone unanswered. We hope that this issue will finally receive the attention and resolution it deserves.

I am a student of the ONLINE CA PCM Batch 2027. I would like to sincerely request you to kindly extend access to the Bonus Classes to the ONLINE students as well.
If this is not possible, I humbly request the institute to kindly clarify the reason for the differentiation between ONLINE and OFFLINE students in this regard. We both pay the same course fee, and many of us who are based outside Delhi would greatly benefit from these additional classes.
We honestly did not expect to see a distinction between ONLINE and OFFLINE students when it comes to accessing these academic resources. We at least believe that we deserve a clear explanation for why the benefit is being extended to one group and not the other.
Sir, we have immense respect for the institute and the efforts being put into the course. We are not raising this concern with any intention of creating an issue; we are simply requesting that our genuine grievance be heard and addressed fairly.
Many ONLINE students are genuinely disappointed by this decision. We sincerely hope that you will kindly reconsider the matter and extend the Bonus Classes to ONLINE students as well, or at least provide us with a clear and reasonable explanation for the distinction.
Kindly look into our concern and help lighten our journey as well.

Exactly. Have mailed and messaged several times, this is the same message we've been getting "forwarded to management" . What is the intelligible differentia here .
Apparently us online ones are not expected of to clear prelims. The "serious" ones are offline . Maybe the institute is trying to curb piracy but what net result it is yielding ? Our voices won't be heared ..Apparently we're keyboard warriors to them .
PUTKARSHA,I am unable to find any concrete logic behind the exclusive offline program, when online students are paying same fees at par with offline ones.
I think providing equal access to classes will increase the probability of clearing prelims 2027 for us online students as well.
Our voice is being unheard despite highlighting the issue several times.
A clear clarification should be provided by now by the management.

AyushMaurya,Same.I never understand their logic of keeping Prelims classes closed door. The funny part is that fees are same for both online and offline which is exception.Online fees are always higher everywhere.
Have you all noticed one more thing.Not once, Dipin sir bothered to even check the chatbox in case online people are having doubts.This course feels so passive in learning.

1.No doubts or any interaction with online people
2. No Prelims online classes despite same fees for both.

@devansh kumar Dipin sir is definitely good when it comes to teaching and notes.
But for some reason, online people despite paying same fees are getting sidelined. No access to ongoing prelim class like offline and no attention to online students. You will feel the you are watching a recording rather than a live class.
The only reason I will say to join online is that in case they shift to some secure platform, you won't find any class on telegram anymore. I have heard though not sure, their lectures are getting leaked very easily.

I'm preparing for EPFO, the exam is in December. I don't want to spend more money for current affairs classes separately. If you have decided to conduct prelims bonus classes, we online students rightfully deserve to get access to these classes.

despite having several mails & calls to Forum team they are reluctant for comprehensive replies & buck passing dates.
Please provide us early access to Bonus classes to online student as well to make our upsc journey more cultivable!

As an online student, I strongly support this concern. I genuinely do not understand why online students are not even being given the choice to attend these classes when we have paid the same fees. If there is a genuine operational or logistical constraint, it should be clearly communicated—but denying the opportunity altogether without a proper explanation is difficult to justify.
What is particularly disappointing is that we never expected this kind of differential treatment from ForumIAS. We chose to trust the institution and its commitment to fairness, equality and student welfare. We are not asking for any special privilege; we are simply asking for the same opportunity and the choice to decide for ourselves.
If these classes are considered important for Prelims preparation, why should an online student be deprived of them merely because they opted for the online mode?
We sincerely hope ForumIAS will reconsider this decision, provide a transparent explanation, and give online students the choice they deserve rather than leaving the matter unresolved through repeated assurances.
@neyawn Sir, please look into this matter. Equal fees should reasonably mean equal academic opportunities, unless there is a clearly communicated and justified constraint.
