This will be my third attempt and if everything goes well then my first mains as well ( 2026)
* doubts
1) do I need to internalize all my notes before prelims itself? Ho do toppers manage it
i am just too scared right now as the year is ending
1) I have done my optional and currently revising it ( but thoughts like whit if I forget after prelims me )
2) I have made short notes for gs as well and currently revising / internalizing them too
I will be really grateful if someone could please address my doubts

Hey@ExpectoPatronum20
What you’re feeling is normal for a serious aspirant heading into
their next attempt. I was confused just like you the last year.
1) Does
internalizing all notes required before prelims? – Not really,
because
Most toppers
focus on prelims-only mode from Jan–May. Internalization of
GS/Optional happens in layers, not in one go.
What matters before prelims is: conceptual clarity, strong test-solving ability, pattern-awareness, revision rhythm, and elimination mastery.
Not
“perfect memory”.
2) “What
if I forget optional after prelims?”
Everyone forgets a portion of optional during prelims mode. The trick is to have: compact notes, a revision plan waiting for post-prelims, and a structured way to rebuild speed in 30-40 days.
You
already have notes and actually on-track, you just need structure between
now and May.
Right now your fear is not coming from lack of preparation, but lack of a
guidance and consistent inputs like SFG or Prelims sprint.
