[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@Palakkhinvasaea  I think Banian were just 'middleman' who could serve any European Merchant and Gomastas were Agents specific to East India Company. Your analysis is correct. Banian were for private European trader and gomasthas were for for east india company. However we would know correct answer only after official key is released.

For so great exam people had, forum this season has garnered prolly the least traction in the last 5 years. Those who have been in forum since they started taking baby steps for upsc would know. Also for the first time I am seeing people so concerned about paper 2 , literally on every page we are seeing paper 2 discussion

@bluesky being very specific, most of institutes have given b only, but i guess vajiram has given both, evry institute just saw only word and have made it incorrect statement, but still I feel only word is correct as we have to stick to passage only and can't have authority to think beyond that. Passage have revolved around money lacking issue only. And even said that if local bodies were rich enough then problem is solved as rest things can be managed. So i still believe that a is also correct.

Wt I could see that most of them have given the answer to the passages based on the newspaper title from where the passages were picked..But that is a larger scenario..In passages we strictly have to stick and comprehend from wtt is given there and not think even anything beyond unless specified..so I feel answers of upsc vl vary

@Navya yeah... Even in user charging fees, I feel answer should be b only... Logical is that answer should be A but what I have learned in past by giving cat and gre, that we must not assume ourselves in passage apart from whatever written  and as user fees word is not even mentioned in paragraph and that is a fact, it should be mentioned. Though I have marked A there. But I know it's wrong. Though B part says about inefficiecy which is also weired but we have to stick to words that are mentioned in para, even it sounds little bottle incorrxt
