SOLUTIONS TO DAILY CSAT MISSION # 85

Explanations
1. There is no mention of anyone worshiping vultures anywhere in the passage.
2. It isn’t (A) because there is no mention of DDT or mosquitoes anywhere. It isn’t (B) because vultures do not kill anyone. They are scavengers and eat carcasses that are already dead. It isn’t (C) because the carcasses become breeding grounds for human diseases, not vulture diseases.
The actual way (as per the passage) in which vultures get exposed to diclofenac is: Some sick cattle are given diclofenac as a drug. When they die, vultures prey on their dead bodies and ingest the diclofenac.
3. Meloxicam is not a threat. Use of diclofenac amongst pets (and cattle) is a threat to vultures. Rotting carcasses is the staple diet of vultures, not a threat to them. Rise in the number of rats is caused by decline of vultures; it does not cause the decline of vultures.
4. The use of untested veterinary medicines increases vulture death, doesnt reduce it.
5. Diclofenac kills vultures, but it may not be the only drug that kills them.
Vultures prey on dead livestock, not sick/dying livestock.
It is nowhere mentioned that vultures live in packs.
