  1. You can go either of these standard books, all are good. If you have not read the Ramesh Singh, then better to read Sriram Economy. But, if you have already read Ramesh Singh, then better to revise the same.

  2. As it has been mentioned in article, basic technique to prepare Art and Culture is to study Ancient History and Medieval History from Art and Cultural Aspects likes Budhhism, Jainism, Vedic Culture, Temple Architecture, Bhakti and Sufi movements, etc. etc.
    Apart from it, covering the art and culture is very tedious as it is very wide and difficult to remember. So, if you have compehesively covered above topics, and still you have time then you can read Art and Culture by Nitin Singhania. But, that book is huge, so try to read that book selectively by observing types of questions asked by UPSC earlier.

    There is no Art and Culture mentioned in the syllabus of Prelims So what should we do ???
