Explanation-Krishi Kalyan Cess is different from the Krishi Kalyan Surcharge which is announced by the Government in the same Union Budget, 2016-17. In order to provide a stable and predictable taxation regime and reduce black money, it was announced in the budget that domestic tax payers can declare undisclosed income or such income represented in the form of any asset by paying tax at 30%, and surcharge (means an addition to the existing tax) at 7.5% and penalty at 7.5%, which is a total of 45% of the undisclosed income. This surchrge levied is Krishi Kalyan Surcharge.

Statement 2 talks about krishi Kalyan cess. Therefore, statement 2 is also incorrect.

  1. WELL Q1. OPTION 2 ASIA-PACIFIC ONLY IS WRONG. IT SHOULD BE ASIA AND PACIFIC. INDIA IS IN SOUTH ASIA (NOT ASIA-PACIFIC) IS ADB MEMBER RECEIVES LOAN FROM IT. ANSWER SHOULD BE “B”

  2. India is also not member of Shanghai cooperation

  3. Question number 8 needs a recheck! Though the resolution to admit India and Pakistan as full time members was passed in SCO in July 2015,yet they would officially join it in 2016 ( which they have not done yet!)
    Hence these two nations cannot be treated as member states of SCO for now.

    But Human poverty index was replaced by multi-dimensional poverty index half a decade ago by UN.

    In ques 8 answer should be A as Turkmenistan is not a member of Shanghai cooperation…
