This year general seats for non EWS for IAS are only 72. Even someone at 80th rank may find it doubtful.

How can it close at 70 for General when there are already 72 posts? Moreover a few may also be IFS first choice and a few reserved category in top 100. My estimation is it should close around 76+/- 2.

@capricornape In the current scenario IAAS may be much better than IRS. IRS service profile is going through tremendous changes. No one is sure how it will eventually pan out. But everyone is sure that it is going to be a pale shadow of its former self.
