What you said is 100% real. Hearing all this first hand as relatives are struggling. And family members trying to do what ever they can. I couldnt concentrate when my brother in another room kept pleading with someone for Remdesiver, oxyegn bed.
Everyone, take care. It's luxury to be sitting in a room and studying.
Completed revision part of studies yday.
Got the news of passing away of the relative. Pained. Numbed. Since he was admitted at district place, his son and 2 others cremated him there. No one else could go.
Trying to get back to studies now.
Revision of optional - 3 hrs (done)
Current affairs - 1 hr (done)
Prelims - 1.5 hrs (partially done)
Was feeling burnt out yesterday. Could not bring myself to study. That's when it hit me. I had not had a guilt free break in a while. So put off my books, watched a movie, talked to friends. Did not even touch the newspaper. Felt so nice.
New start today. Feeling refreshed.
Optional - 4 hrs
AWP - 1.5hrs
CA - 1.5 hrs
Prelims - 1.5 hrs
Wish to keep this day random.
During my mains exam in the past 3 yrs have realised the importance of taking a guilt free break day. But pandmic has made us homebound.
Screens don't enthuse me anymore, hate being driven by algorithms.
Toh books hi sahi.. Want to add some interesting stuff to my notes, ethics and essay.
Target - 7 hrs
Vaccine day.
Have kept it as buffer.
Still before noon -

2. Newspaper & notes
3. Write 3 answers.
Rest - let covshield decide. I really don't like getting sick. For the first time in life haven't been under the weather for 1.5 yrs.
Guys & gals - some suggestions to binge watch plz!
Good Morning.
Please please be little empathetic! World needs more of than rather than any laurels & achievements.

4. CA - 1 hr
5. Revision - 1 hr
#Studyhack - before going to bed, keep your to to do books on the table - so that you can land on your feet the next day!
Hey all.
Just remember this - when u can't recall stuff, anxiety of performance creeps in - everyone is in the same boat. Not everything needs to be remembered. Whatever you have done is enough.
And from experience can tell you - post exam you will realise how many of those worries were futile. Don't worry about stuff that may never happen.
My plan for today -
1. Revise pending polity
2. Sci and tech
3. Mocks
4. Pyq
Heartiest congratulations @whatonly @AJ_
@AzadHindFauz words may be hollow at this moment, just know that so many are rooting for you..
Yday - couldn't do thr CA part.
Today -
1. Make a revision plan of things that are prone to forgetting
2. Mapping
3. Mocks
4. Pyq
#Tip - do not open your phone - check answer key, prelims difficulty status or talk to any1 between GS and CSAT paper.
Some Institutes in their overenthusiasm put out stuff in 5-10 min post prelims paper.
Today was not well optimised.
Facing the issue of high mental and low physical energy.
@sjerngal rightly said. Facing the same thing.
Take care you all
Hello to all the beautiful people,
All wise words here are the golden rule to go by in these days.
Having been through this exam a few times, it still feels like the first time.
No matter what you do, you never feel prepared. And that's the way it should be. Each battle is a new one. Though the rules remain same.
TRUST - that no matter what, you will be alright. Everything falls in place.
And as @Rashmirathi has got me hooked on to Dinkarji's poetry,
I took inspiration from the incident - even when karna knew that he was fighting against God, he trusted himself.
That's what is important at this moment.

Officially done with my prelims preparation today.. I don't think I will go through any of my notes now, because it is just making me anxious thinking ki abhi bhi bahut kuch bach gaya hai..
Anyway, what's left is left..
Going to focus only on CSAT for the next two days..
Whatever is in my destiny, I will get it on 10th.. I may have not given a 100% , especially in the last few days.. But I can proudly say that I haven't studied this much since my 12th board exams and I pat myself on the back for that..
P. S: I badly need a vacation... I don't know how people are able to focus enough at this point of time... I am just having a lot of burn out.
Best luck.
It all comes down to maintaining sanity. Whatever works for you.. Do that.
# do write few tests.
Can you plz enlighten us regarding -
1. A brief timeline of prep
2. How many mocks you took (prelims, gs, essay, optional each)
3. How to make use of mains mock effectively
4. Revision strategy for each stage
5. CA strategy - should one go for classes or do CA on own. Whether to make notes or not?
6. Essay tips.
Thanking in anticipation
Should we or should we not use tables for comparison? Can anyone help me on this one?
IMHO - tables should be used for comparison. It makes the job easier for the examiner.
How ever the points in the comparison should be short. If the points are very content heavy then it becomes difficult to write in small space - given the width of answer sheet.
Hi .
How do u people differentiate between analyze critically analyze and discuss
Please help. I am very confused . I wrote a test and did whatever I could understand from the questions. But after seeing the model answers , I found I interpreted the meaning of directives wrong . Is there any fixed rule ?
Analyse- bring out the causes, impacts of the issue, inter relationship of dimensions.
Critically analyse - Bring out the causes, imalcts and interrelationship, focussing more on the criticism part. But this criticism should be moderately worded & constructive.
Discuss - bring out multiple dimensions of the issue. Just like when we discuss any topic various opinions are expressed.
