Can a dismissed public sector bank employee join IAS after clearing all stages of UPSC exam ?

If a Bank employee employee gets dismissed from service for a charge sheet or long unapproved leave ,is that person eligible to get selected for UPSC after declaring past employment details in DAF & interview ? or hiding the past employment details while applying and in DAF is the only way out ?
