The song you just shared happens to be my favourite. This was my most streamed song on Spotify last year. I would have missed this gem, had it not been for Killing Eve - the climax scene in Season 3 of that show had this :) Saorise Ronan is pure talent :D
Dream pop / shoegaze has been my top genre off late :D
Have been listening to The Midnight discography for the past two days. Synthwave is now the perfect genre for me to listen to while studying. Thanks villanelle, now I can move away from lofipop
I'm a bit noobish in song genres. Is dream-pop almost the same as synthwave?
They’re kind of different. For all I know, synthwave has that 80s Stranger Things vibe to it, with a beats and electronic music. Dream pop and shoegaze has kind of psychedelic euphoric vibe. But one commonality is they all invoke feelings of retro. Check Cigrattes After Sex and Beach House for dream pop.

Great. I guess no song of theirs' will ever not make me cry. :')
Have watched the movie?
The soundtrack are too good to hear.. After hearing the song cold scientist I became fan of Coldplay
Yes, I have, a long time before.
I didn’t even remember the movie had Coldplay’s The Scientist too? It’s anyway iconic.
Today was a pretty day
No disappointments
No expectations on your whereabouts
And, oh, did I let you go?
Did it finally show
That strange things will happen if you let them?
This is lovely ❤️
I used to watch Hannah Montana religiously in my teens XD
Ek aur hai Jahaan Mai Chaloon. This is another unreleased OST. Quite good too.
I am listening to this song on repeat since last two days…was feeling a little lost. When the last part begins feels as if everything is coming back to life.
Haina!
Abida Parveen and any Sufi piece does breathe life into dead days. :)
Sadly people know about momina rather than abida!

That “hath thaam chalna ho”wala part - feel hi alag hain uski ❤️
The only Iranian movies I have watched are this & the salesman. The Separation was great. Salesman, I didn't understand. I may have to give it another try as I had watched this like 4 years ago.
Also a movie about Iran but not Iranian 'the Persepolis' is a favourite.
Persepolis is based on Marjane Satrapi’s graphic novel by the same name. I have read the book, but I’ve not seen the animated film. I’m so attached to it, I’ll probably carry it everywhere I go for the rest of my life. 😂
Gentle cultured people, can you point me to a place where I can read Urdu poetry with translations? I always understand only half at most.
Rekhta

Oh wait, with translations. Rekhta doesn’t have that I guess…
Kuhad has recently switched to mass manufacture. 😁
So far, I’ve been loving it, but the entire Raat Raazi EP still remains unparalleled. 🙃

Yes. I dont know why I am not a great Kuhad fan. I am too deep into Indie Hindi but I like very few of his song. Raat Raazi EP is good. Also two songs from Karvaan.
The recent songs I didnt like much maybe because I didnt give them more time.
Agreed. As hard as it is to narrow down, Saansein is whole another level, definitely a top pick.
Wishing good for all the regular ones here. Suddenly sab ki yaad aa gayi :)-@Rashmirathi@whatonly@Villanelle@nerdfighter@calvinhobbes@Freakhoto@D503@Ethereal@MaeveWiley@sbhati@Bepop@peterparker@Hououin_Kyouma@NadanParinda@LetsGetThisBread@Usain_bolt And others....
